6 Month Check Up

Magnus & Ragnar had their 6 months well baby check today. The Dr is happy with how they are doing and doesn't have any concerns.

We go back in a week to get the rest of the shots (only did one today) and then we don't have another well baby check until they are 9 months old.

Our boys are 6 months old. It's crazy to think that 1/2 a year ago we were in the hospital with them getting to know them and figuring out what to do next. We are still trying to figure out what to do next but are getting to know them better each day. Here are some pictures from this week and observations from the last month.

Magnus

Size 2 or size 3 diaper (depending on brand)
0-3 M pants, 6 M sleepers, 3-6 & 6 M onesies/shirts
Plays with feet
Splashes A LOT in the bath
Very vocal
Enjoys playing with his burp cloth/sucking/chewing on it
Plays hide and seek with himself using burp cloth or any fabric toys
Has 1 tooth!
Very determined
Likes having two spoons when eating food that requires a spoon (one for each hand)

LOVES his feet
Rolls over to his tummy from back ALL of the time
Sleeps on his tummy most nights/naps
Loves to throw toys/pacifier
Favorite toy is his brother
Chews on everything (including his brother)
Can drink from a sippy cup (with a straw)
“Sings” along to songs
Loves eating meat

Ragnar - 6 Months

Started eating solids

Oatmeal, steak, chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, yogurt, rice crackers, toast, bell peppers

Interact with each other: laughing/playing/grabbing hands/feet/heads
Have stranger anxiety in certain situations
Moved to the nursery for nighttime sleep (day too- but have been doing this since 2 months old)
Reach out to be picked up
Started teaching them baby signs
React when people enter the room they are in
Recognize familiar people in their life
Laugh a lot
Like playing (for short periods of time) in the jumperoo and exersaucer
Interact more with toys (soft blocks, stuffed animals, teething rings)
