Helpers

We have many maple trees that surround our property.  We have one on our property as well.  All of this means that we get a LOT of leaves to rake in the fall.  I thought since we were outside every day anyway, I would have Magnus and Ragnar help me rake the leaves. 

I got each of them a rake that was their size and we raked leaves.

 

  (That didn't mean they didn't try taking my rake at every opportunity.)

 

 Once we had a giant pile I showed them how to jump in the leaves. 

They liked that part.

Magnus really liked picking of the leaves and putting them into the leaf bags. Over the course of many days and a few weeks between the four of us we got all of our leaves cleaned up from the front and the back yard.

 

Friends

We've started having weekly play dates with a family in our ward, the Bruggemans.  They have twin boys, Charles & Henry, that are three days younger than our boys.  It has been a lot of fun watching all four boys interact.  I've loved having a standing play date with them.  I hope they will continue being friends as they grow up.
