1 1/2 Year Old Update

Ragnar and Magnus are 1 1/2 years old! The time has really flown by. They are very active toddlers with distinct personalities. Many days it seems like the only commonality is that they were born on the same day.  We are loving our time with them and enjoy helping them explore and learn about their world.  Their communication skills are really taking off.  They are mimicking more words and trying to use the words to tell us what they want or need.  They also are pointing at what they want or pulling on us to take us where they want to go.  They continue to show a preference for outdoor activities to indoor activities. 

Magnus

Size 4 diapers and size 4 overnight diaper

12 M pants, 12-18 M onesies/shirts, 18 M sleeper

Got 1 new tooth this month and now has 16 teeth

Words: cheese, hat, moo, uh-oh, jump, dip, tickle, ow, Jesus

Starting to run

Climbs everything (inside and outside of the house)

Still loves outside play.  Favorite things to do in the yard are gather sticks (to whack things), chase the wild bunnies and look for frogs

Happy and goofy baby.  But he is starting to have tantrums out of frustration.

Great eater.  Becoming more proficient at using his fork and an open cup

Loves to give hugs, kisses, high fives and to blow kisses.

Went on his 1^st Pony ride

Walks and runs everywhere

Climbs on everything and can reach almost everything on the dining room table now

Happy and giggly baby.  Very laid back and easy going.

Great eater!  Getting better at using an open cup.

Cuddle bug.  Loves to snuggle, cuddle and give kisses.

Started going to Nursery at church.

Enjoy interacting with other children.  In particular they like trying to play with older kids.

Very active!  Play and are on the go and active all day long.

Love reading books. Reading is their top activity when we are inside.  Almost ¾ of our inside time is spent reading books.

Went on their 1^st hike

Bounced in an inflatable castle for the first time (Ragnar LOVED this!!)

Starting to do imaginative play such as pretending to eat/drink food with their nesting cups or pretending they are feeding us or their stuffed animals.
