Amusement Park

We took the boys to their first amusement park today!  It was a great day for it, overcast and not hot.  We went to Remlinger Farms in Carnation.  It is a small family farm that has u-pick fields, a farmers' market, restaurant and some amusement park rides.  I had been several times with my nanny kids, but this is the first time we were going to it with our boys.

We arrived right before the opening time, and the boys were anxious to see all the rides we had told them about.  We tried to do the ponies first, but they weren't interested in that.  Instead, they went on the canoe rides.  They loved it!

After floating around in the canoes, the boys saw the giant tractors, fire truck and bus to climb in.  They climbed on all of them and loved pretending they were driving them.

By that time the train was leaving for its first run of the day.  I wasn't sure how often it was going so we got in line for that.  Magnus was a bit upset when we sat down and wanted to be held.  I think he was nervous and didn't know what to expect.  Ragnar loved sitting on his own and watching everything go past us.  They both loved the dark tunnel at the end of the train ride.

Once we were back at the station we headed over towards the other rides.  The boys enjoyed "driving" the car.

Then we did the hay jump and hay maze.

Ragnar saw the pumpkin ride after the hay maze and wanted to go on it.  I took him on and he liked it until I pulled on the bar to raise it up into the sky.  He got scared then, so I brought us back down.  Throughout the ride Magnus was crying and off of the ride with Nate.  He hadn't wanted to go but was upset that I went on the ride.

We got off of the ride and I cuddled Magnus.  He said he wanted to see the roller coaster.  We all watched it for a bit and then Ragnar decided he wanted to go on it.  I went with him and he loved it!  He thought it only went around one time though, so when we didn't stop back at the loading station, he was confused.  By the last time (fourth time around) he was ready to get off.

Magnus was once again upset that I went on a ride and he didn't.  I offered to take him on the ride and we got in line, but when we got to the front he didn't want to go.

We got out of line and all four of us went on the barrel ride.  I was SO dizzy by this point since I had done 3 rides in a row that go in circles.

After that we did some of the rides again.  The boys were tired by that point, so we left and went to grab lunch before heading home for naps.

I was very pleased with how well they did at their first amusement park!
